Really not a bad experience by any stretch. Dummy me kept my SS card in my wallet, then lost my wallet, so I went in person to have it replaced. I went online, researched what I had to do, filled out and printed the appropriate documentation, then went to take care of things at the office with ID and documentation in hand. From check-in to check-out, it took all of 25 minutes and my new card will be in my mail box in 10 days.
You have to do your homework BEFORE you go into any government agency. If you show up already prepared and know what questions you need to ask, those people in there are more than willing to work with you! If you show up and expect them to do your end of things for you, that's when it will get unpleasant.
I arrive at 3:03pm then left at 3:23pm on Thursday. I was there just to replace my Social Security Card and I already know my numbers so it made it easier for them. I was expecting to be there for hours but was extremely surprise how early I got out. I didn't have a problem with Security guards because I didn't bother made contact with them. The guy who helped me was very kind and fast.

Just left. Very polite police officer/ security at the front door. Everything is clean and organized inside. And the gentleman that helped me at window 20 was also polite and friendly. Great job. Not what I was expecting from other reviews. Only took about 40 minutes. It was a full building and a small line outside at 945am on a Thursday.

Really good customer service.
Organized entry, the security guard was authoritative letting everyone know acceptable behavior but not at all overbearing. He was courteous, polite, and after he sat people or escorted people inside the business he stepped back and just kept the business organized by handing out pens, clipboards, etc, to keep everything flowing smoothly. I thought he was professional in all aspects and don't believe the business would have ran as smoothly as it did if he were not there.
The layout of the office was good with the actual meeting rooms of the business being in a hall corridor offset from the seating room area. The open window design allowed for ease of communication with the SS Staff. The staff member I met with was extremely helpful, polite, and courteous. I was greeted as soon as I sat down. All the business I was there to do was taken care of quickly. The staff member asked if I had any additional questions and let me know a timeframe that the administration would complete the work I was seeking.
