SCAM. They have sent 3 letters so far. Claiming to have USPS Permit 787 out of Bolingbrook IL, pretending to be some sort of vague collections group. Never identifying themselves, no return address, no address or name on the letter. Just scare tactics and threats that you owe $20,000 and they will settle for $9,000 if you call, otherwise failure to respond will accrue interest.
The person they mailed it to moved 11 years ago. She has been notified, she does not owe any money, she contacted the credit bureau to see if someone stole her ident*ty - there is no debt.
Since it came to her parents house, I'm a**uming someone got ahold of college addresses.

Received a letter in the mail from them about a credit settlement. I am in the financial industry and have connections to legal departments at these financial inst*tutions. This is a Total scam. Don't fall for this.

Received a letter in the mail requesting that I call this number 800-953-6513. There is no identifying information of who is sending the letter. No company name, no firm name and no address. Claims they have settled accounts with Citibank, Chase, Target etc and that I maybe ent*tled to a settlement. Total scam vibe.
I have no outstanding debt. Received a letter in the mail from them saying I have to respond within 10 days of receiving the notice. Definitely doesn't feel right.
