Craigslist scam where he sends a check that grossly exceeds the sale price of the item (sends a $1950 check for a $300 item). The person is then told to cash the check and immediately send a Moneygram to a person at the moving company that is supposedly going to pick up the furniture for the remaining amount. The moving company supposedly will not come to pick up the furniture until you ve sent the Moneygram. Here s how the check scam works: the bank will give you the full amount of the cashier s check; you keep $300 and send a Moneygram for remaining amount ($1650). Several days to 5 days later the bank will determine the check does not clear (bounces). You will then be liable to repay the full amount of the original check back to the bank. You now just got scammed out of $1650. The scammer called himself Kenneth Smith and asked the Moneygram to be sent to Ulysses Peele.รขโ‚ฌล“

They always ask for some random name and the recording is set to ask if you can help them once you tell the recording they have the wrong number. It is a scam call for a phony police charity.
