Saying my nation NI number has been found to be involved in criminal fraud absolute rubbish. Do not answer this number
Twice this number has called me today
Automated voice - said it was from HMRC - fraud investigation, they said if I hang up that I would be arrested. I think this is a scam, so I'm searching the internet for this phone number. So far I've not found who owns this number. Note: I recently started getting a scam text message about account activity at a bank and I think that this may be related. My advice is hang up and ring HMRC direct if you are worried. Note: Also MAKE SURE THAT YOU SWITCH OFF your phone for a few minutes so that you BREAK the connection to the scammer caller just in case, they might be holding up the line and preventing the call disconnect.
